I have written (or co-written, or contributed to) a number of books about the technical side of World Wide Web. If you are more interested in the design side, you may wish to look at my Sister's books.
If you wish to buy any of these books, you may do so at my Online Bookstore
The CGI Book was the first book on CGI. It's several years old now, and it has stood the test of time quite well. It has complete examples of working CGI programs in Perl, C, sh, and pseudo-code. Currently it is out-of-print, but I have planned a second edition for 2002. Check The CGI Book Web Site for progress.
My sister and I wrote this book together and it's a whole new approach to teaching HTML. The book is lesson-based and is designed to teach correct HTML to designers and others who actually publish on the Web. The Creative HTML Design Web Site is where you will find more information about this book. The first edition was published in January 1998. The second edition was published in February 2001.
This book is currently in progress. It will be published by Addison-Weseley sometime around the end of 2001. Writing Internet Services in Perl web site for more details as they become available.
I write a not-so-periodic newsletter (roughly every once-in-a-while) about the things I'm involved in. You can subscribe here.
