Bill WeinmanThe time is now 5:02 am MST on Friday, 16 May 2008 Bill Weinman is a musician and technologist who has enjoyed some notoriety as an author of computer books and co-founder of WebMonster® Networks and the Web Music Database. Bill spends a great deal of time working on open source software. Currently he is putting most of that effort into AMTP, a new protocol that is intended to replace SMTP as a potential solution to the UBE (spam) problem. Mr. Weinman is the author of The CGI Book and Creative HTML Design. In late 1999 he wrote bw-whois, which he distributes freely to the Internet community. In 2000 he wrote The Web Music Database, and founded Polymorphic Data Corporation to run it. Bill occasionally scribbles in his blog. When he's not pushin' bits, he can be found working on his music. The first few songs from his new album are currently available on his music site. NOTE: Because of Bill's bw-whois program, some people seem to think that he has some control over the registration of domains. Unless you are a client or a personal friend, Bill does not have anything to do with your domain so please do not write to him about it (and please do not call him at home about it!) He cannot help you, and due to the surprisingly large volume of requests, he probably will not answer your message. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
